Frequently Asked Questions

We are sure you will have many questions when you are choosing your wedding venue, so here are a few that are most frequently asked.

Can we choose our own caterers? 

We have a list of recommended caterers that cater for all cuisines and budgets. However, if you'd prefer to use a caterer not on our list that's fine too.

Can my caterers supply the crockery & table linen?

Sorry, crockery, cutlery, table linen and chair covers are all provided in-house and are normally priced up in our package.

Can we bring in our own flower decorations?
 

Yes you can or if you like we can arrange it for you.... please ask one of our staff for prices

How often can we visit The Empire before the wedding?

You are welcome to come as often as you wish! You are also free to meet any of your wedding suppliers here. We are keen for you to get to know the Empire and feel comfortable. We have an open evening every Wednesday’s between 6.30pm – 8pm.. Please feel free to pop in! Alternatively you can make an appointment to visit us outside of those hours.

Can we use candles for our table displays?

Yes, as long as they are in a glass container.

Is confetti allowed?

Confetti can only be used outside of the building and we'd prefer if its biodegradable

At what time does the evening end?

It depends on your event times but our latest is 1am.
